Is your own garden too small or do you have only a yard Or no garden at all? An allotment might be the answer

What are the Benefits?

  • Allotments offer a great way to relax get fresh air and get fit!!
  • It is also a chance to meet people that share your interests
  • Cultivating an allotment offer something for all ages and abilities
  • With something to show for your hard work at the end of the day

Growing your own vegetables means you get really fresh tasty seasonal produce which can be grown organically, and at no extra cost you can also experiment with the more unusual vegetables.

Growing your own is Environmentally Friendly by helping reduce energy use and pollution from the transportation and packaging of shop bought produce.

How do I rent an allotment?

It is really simple just call 01452 396396 Between 8.30-5 Monday - Thursday and 8.30-4.30 on Friday and we will be happy to show you the vacant allotments we have in Gloucester, or email heretohelp@gloucester.gov.uk.

How Much Does it Cost?

The cost of renting is from £15.86 per annum, but there are concessions for Pensioners and those in receipt of disability allowance.

Your Tenancy Agreement

After you have found an allotment we will send you a tenancy agreement form.  Sign this and post it back together with your first years payment.

The main points of the agreement are:

  • You agree to pay a yearly rent
  • You inform us of any change of address
  • You agree to cultivate your plot and keep it weed free
  • Bonfires are Prohibited on any Gloucester City site
