We are very excited to announce that we are now able to offer an electronic form to claim Housing and Council Tax benefit. Simply complete and submit the on-line form and send us the evidence which is requested. The form can be completed in full or you can make a start and finish it later.

Housing Benefit

Housing Benefit is a welfare benefit designed to provide financial help for people to pay their rent. It is 'means tested' which means the level of Housing Benefit provided depends on income and savings and you must satisfy the following circumstances.

  • You must have a responsibility to pay rent.
  • You must occupy the accommodation as your home.
  • You must have an entitlement to Housing Benefit. - click to see

Council Tax Benefit

Council Tax Benefit is a welfare benefit designed to provide financial help for people to pay their Council Tax. It is 'means tested' which means the level of Council Tax Benefit provided depends on income and savings. Payment of this benefit will be made directly to the Council Tax payer's account thus reducing the balance due to be paid. In order to receive Council Tax Benefit you must satisfy the following circumstances

  • You must have a responsibility to pay the Council Tax for the property.
  • You must occupy the accommodation as your home.
