The amount of your bill is based on the value of your home on the 1st April 1991 and assumes that two adults live in the property.
Your bill may be reduced in the following circumstances:

Single Resident Discount
If there is only one adult living in the property, a discount of 25% is taken off the bill.

Status Discount
Some groups of adults are ignored when counting the number of adults living in a property for Council Tax purposes.

Second Home Discount
A second home is defined as a property that is furnished but is no one's sole or main residence.

Reductions for disabilities
You may get a reduction if someone in your household is disabled and needs extra space or a room to meet their special needs.

Council Tax Benefit - for people on a low income

Exemptions - some properties are exempt from Council Tax.
Have you been affected by Flooding?
As a result of flooding, are you unable to live in the whole of your property or are you living in a caravan at your property? Have you moved out to alternative accommodation?
