Linden Housing Area

The Oval and Linden consists of mainly pre-war brick-built 3 bedroom family houses, many of which have been modernised. There are also some more recent built 3 and 4 bedroom family houses and bungalows for elderly people, within the area. Closer to the City centre is St Paul's Court, three blocks of 4 storey 1 bedroom flats / bedsits, each with a security intercom to the communal doors, but no lift access. A cleaner attends the complex on a regular basis. Also in the St Paul's area are flats for older persons and a variety of flats and bedsits at the San Remo complex and 1 & 2 bedroom non family flats at Rosebank, both located on Stroud Road. There are local shops as well as primary and senior schools. The area is not too far from the City centre and has a regular bus service.
