Public consultation was carried out in November 2007 to find out whether residents and park users were in favour of the proposed improvements to the park, funded using money from housing development at Brionne Way. Proposals included replacing the run-down play area and ball court and providing a covered seating area.

Following the initial consultation, a scheme has been drawn up, taking into account the comments received from residents, young people and other users.
