Hiring Gloucester Guildhall
Rooms at Gloucester Guildhall can be hired by the hour for anything from small meetings to full conferences and we able to set them up in a wide range of styles to suit most requirements. Further details about our rooms and rate card are available below.
Promoters and Bands
We also work directly with bands and promoters who hire our 400 capacity Theatre or our 120 capacity Cinema for gigs and other live events. If you are interested in this type of hire please email booking@gloucester.gov.uk| . Details and prices below are mainly for daytime meetings and conference trade.
Meetings & Conferences
With a number of rooms (capacities from 8 to 250 seated) available throughout the day and evening, we are able to cater for a wide range of meetings and conferences. A fabulous historic environment, supplemented with modern technology and in-house catering all at very competitive prices makes us an ideal venue for all your business needs.
Bluecoat, George Hunt, Studio and Henley Rooms are at the front of the building and are fully accessible by lift from the front entrance or directly from Kings Walk carpark . These rooms can be set up for small lectures, board meetings, interviews, seminars and similar or can be used as breakout rooms for larger events.
Potter and Trier Rooms are at the back of the building and due to the nature of the building and its listed status access is only available via a short flight of stairs.
Cinema
The oak panelled Cinema was originally the Victorian council chamber, it will seat up to 120 people in a lecture style and can be prepared for meetings , conferences or that surprise birthday party or special occasion. A conference sound system is available and it is a warm welcoming location for your meeting.
Theatre
Our Theatre, the converted Victorian ballroom, is a very versatile space, and is used for anything from a dance class, a film screening, a conference, a craft fair or a live music event. Part raked, seating is available to a maximum of 250 people or the full area can be used in a variety of layouts.
Cafe
Our Cafe-Bar can cater for your event, should you require a hot fork buffet, finger buffet or just tea and coffee for your delegates. Alternatively it is open to the public and you can just order from the bar.
Technical Support
Technical equipment available includes, data projectors, laptops, flipcharts and audio equipment eg lapel mics, radio mics or full concert sound for your band. We have Technical support available whatever your needs.
