Kick Start That Play

This one day workshop is aimed at writers at all levels. Whether you want to exercise your play writing skills or if you enjoy creative writing and are looking for a new challenge, this day will give your skills a gentle stretch. We’ll look at writing one-act plays for competitions, focusing on the structure of a play, as well as thinking about the impact your play could have on an audience. But apart from helping you to tell great stories, we’ll also be looking at writing convincing dialogue, so the workshop will be a useful day for anyone wanting to stretch their writing skills in any form.

Tutors Jan & Andrew Thorn have been writing professionally for over twenty years, with Jan’s plays most recently being seen in the Studio Theatre at the Everyman in Cheltenham.
