Both Gloucester City Museum & Art Gallery and Gloucester Folk Museum are based in the City Centre. They are less than ten minutes walk away from each other, (and Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester Library, GL1, the Docks and the Guildhall) making them suitable for multi-site visits. Local landmarks
Gloucester City Museum & Art Gallery is the huge Victorian building next door to Gloucester library. It usually has a Roman soldier outside. It is also just round the corner from the glass domed Eastgate chamber, Boots and Argos on Eastgate Street.

Gloucester Folk Museum is the traditional Tudor building at the bottom of Westgate Street. It usually has an old shop bicycle outside is opposite St Nicholas’ Church.
