St James City Farm is home to a wide variety of animals, all of them Rare Breeds. The Farm was the very first Rare Breeds farm on the UK City Farm network and we are home to the famous Gloucester Old Spot and British Saddleback pigs. Visitors will be welcomed by our friendly Golden Guernsey goats and Boreray sheep and can cuddle our loveable rabbits! Learn the difference between chicken and duck eggs and enjoy a picnic whilst watching the ducks take their bath!
Feed the Animals
The main feeding is done first thing in the morning and an hour before closing. Eating at set times aids the animals’ digestive systems and helps them to grow steadily and healthily. Animal feed can be bought from the farm shop, so why not give our hungry residents a well-earned snack!
Adopt an Animal
An ideal present for someone who loves animals! Come along and choose an animal and we'll give you a certificate and fact sheet about him or her for you to keep. Visit the farm regularly and watch your animal’s progress. The charge will contribute towards its food and health care over a six-month period. Contact us for more information.
