Council Tax - General Information

Council Tax is levied on domestic properties in Gloucester City Council’s area to help pay for services provided by Gloucester City Council, Gloucestershire County Council, and Gloucestershire Police Authority. If you live in Quedgeley you will also contribute to the services provided by the Parish Council.

Council Tax is normally payable by the occupier of the property. If a property is empty, the owner or leaseholder pays.

Gloucester City Council's role is to calculate and send the bills, and collect Council Tax on behalf of each authority.
