Supports companies based in the South West that want to trade and invest overseas. If you are new to exporting they can help you break into new markets through their network of Embassies and Consulates overseas. They will also guide you through local customs, export documentation requirements and how to appoint agents or distributors.
More experienced exporters can take advantage of their new Gateway to Global Growth programme aimed at those businesses who have been exporting for more than 2 years. The programme will help you develop a year long strategic export plan by working alongside an international trade advisor, giving you access to a number of UKTI services. The plan could include visits to meet potential buyers overseas, joining a trade mission or commissioning research into a new market. The programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, so some elements of it may attract match funding.
