How to Register    tattooist

To register a person and/or premises for acupuncture, tattooing, semi-permanent skin colouring, cosmetic piercing or electrolysis and obtain a copy of the relevant byelaws and application forms contact Environmental Health|. Downloadable versions of the byelaws and application forms are available below. You can apply online by clicking here|:

Once an application has been made and the current fee for 2012/2013 of £105.95 has been paid, an inspector will undertake an inspection of the premises. If the inspector considers the applicant's procedures and the premises to be suitable, then registration will be approved.

The inspector will also check compliance with the byelaw requirements as well as ensuring that general health and safety requirements are being met. The inspector will be pleased to offer any advice or give any help if you are unsure as to how to meet these obligations.

Replacement certificates can  be requested but there is an administration charge of £10.50
