Environmental Policy

       

The Environmental Policy Team is located within the Council's Spatial Planning and Environment section of Planning Services|.  The links below provide information on the Team's main areas of work.

The Environmental Policy Team undertakes a lot of work in habitat management, for example through the implementation of the Gloucestershire Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) and the Severnside Project.  To find out more, click Habitat Management|

The City Council's team of landscape architects are responsible for protecting and improving the quality of Gloucester's urban landscape, as well as assessing the effect and impact that new developments may have on the city.  To find out more, click Landscape Design|

The Environmental Policy Team was responsible for writing the Gloucester City Council Local Agenda 21 (LA21), and continues to progress projects, policies and programmes which Sustainable Development at their core.  For more information on LA21 and Sustainable Development more generally, click Sustainable Development|
