Voluntary Organisations and Community Groups

Gloucester City Council has historically maintained a database of voluntary organisations and community groups based in and around the city. However, to improve the maintenance and capacity of the database we are now using the countywide database - Volbase|

If you have difficulty with this database then please contact Gloucester Association for Voluntary and Community Action on 01452 332424 / admin@gavca.org.uk| .

Gloucestershire Compact

The Gloucestershire Compact| is an agreement between a range of local public sector agencies and the voluntary and community sector,
underpinned by the Compact Codes|.

  • Advancing Equalities
  • Commissioning
  • Community Groups
  • Mediation
  • Consultation
  • Multi-sector Partnerships
  • Volunteering

The ethos of the Compact is that by developing a better understanding of each other’s needs, both sectors can work together to find better ways of doing things in the future.
