What happens if I move house?

If you move within Gloucester City you can change the collection to your new address, just get in touch and let us know.  If you move out of the City, call us to collect the bin (it's Council property) or negotiate with the new occupier to see if they would like to keep it for the rest of the year.

Is the service available to all householders?

Yes, as long as you can safely store the wheeled bin on your property, away from the highway.  If you think your property may have access problems, please contact 01452 396 396.

When will you collect the bin I no longer want?

The normal collection scheme continues until the beginning of April so we would encourage you to continue to make use of the service.  You may then keep your bin in case you change your mind - or for storage purposes for your garden waste.  If you are sure you will not need your bin, please ring us on 01452 396 396, after 4th April, and we will arrange to have the bin collected.

When will my garden waste bin be emptied?

Your garden waste will be collected on a fortnightly basis, all year round, with the exception of two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. Please click here| to check your collection days, or to download a calendar for the year.

 When I sign up for the garden waste service, when will my bin be emptied?

When you sign up to the new service, your bin will be collected 2 weeks following payment.  this gives time to process your application.
