Black Wheeled Bins
Every household in Gloucester is entitled to have a black wheeled bin for waste that cannot be reused or recycled. However, if you have storage issues, contact us on (01452) 396396 or email us at heretohelp@gloucester.gov.uk|.
Remember:
Gloucester City Council has a closed bin lid policy for wheeled bins, so your bin should be presented on your collection day by 7am, with the lid closed. Any additional bags left next to the bin will be classed as side waste & will not be collected by the crews.
You should also ensure there is only domestic waste in your black bin. Please do not place the following items in the black bin:
-
Food waste - use the brown food waste caddy.
-
Garden waste - use the green garden waste bin.
-
Recyclable materials (i.e. all plastic bottles, glass, food & drink cans, paper, light card, batteries, etc.) - use your green recycle box or one of the recycling banks.
-
Soil & rubble - accepted at the Household Recycle Centre in Hempsted.
-
Electrical goods - accepted at the Household Recycle Centre in Hempsted.
-
Needles/sharps - please contact us for details.
-
Window & mirror glass - accepted at the Household Recycle Centre in Hempsted.
