The Freedom of Information Act requires all public authorities to adopt and maintain a publication scheme.
The Publication Scheme contains all the information that customers would find useful in understanding the way the Council is run, and is split into seven different categories:

* What we spend and how we spend it|
* What are our priorities and how we are doing|
* How we make decisions|
* Our Policies and Procedures|
* Lists and Registers|
* Services provided by the council|
In this section you will find information on; the organisation, the location and contacts for the Council. As well as information on the Council’s constitutional, legal and governance arrangements.
Relationships with other Local Authorities:
In this section you will find; financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure of the Council. As well as information on tendering, procurement and the Council contracts.
In this section you will find information on; strategy and performance, the Council’s plans, assessments, inspections and reviews.
In this section you will find; policy proposals and decisions. As well as information on the Council’s decision making processes, and internal procedures and consultation information.
In this section you will find; Current written protocols for delivering our functions and responsibilities.
In this section you will find; information held in registers required by law and other lists and registers relating to the functions of the authority.
In this section you will find; advice and guidance, booklets and leaflets, transactions and media releases. As well as a description of the services the Council provides.
