The catch up of waste and recycling collections has been completed as of Friday 12th January. Normal collection schedules for waste and recycling will apply from Monday 15th January and all residents are asked to do what we normally ask them to do to present their waste and recycling for collection. Priority will continue to be given to litter clearance and street sweeping next week. Some residents have been concerned because we have mixed together the recycling when collecting in their area. This has been necessary to speed up the catch up process and allow us to use all the available fleet. All mixed recycling has been sent to SITA for mechanical sorting before onward processing. Normal kerb side collections resume from next week, crews will be separating materials at the kerb side again and we would appreciate it if our residents return to sorting recycling where possible, into two boxes. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during what has been a difficult period, which involved 3 Bank Holidays coupled with 2 days of adverse weather conditions
