Building on the success of the last few years, Gloucester City Council are currently planning Christmas Activities for 2008, to include:

• Festive lights in the City Centre,
• Christmas procession,
• Markets,
• An Ice skating Rink in Kings Square and a family fun event.

Christmas activities are always well supported and following customer surveys and consultation we strive to build on the positive experience year on year, by creating a festive, family environment that offers something for both residents and visitors to the City.

The events are very well supported with 20,000 skaters using the rink in 2007 of which 60% of were Gloucester residents, 30% were from Gloucestershire and surrounding areas and 10% from other areas in the UK.

Consultation and retailers confirmed that having the ice rink in the city centre played a significant role in supporting local business, increasing footfall and developing secondary spend.  Therefore, our sponsorship packages provide excellent value for money in advertising terms, together with the opportunity for businesses to demonstrate support to the local community.

Below is a list of our sponsorship opportunities, which you will see range from advertising boards through to bespoke company packages.  Hopefully this will give a flavour of what we can offer, however, support is not constrained by the categories and we are happy to discuss contributions at a variety of levels to reflect your requirements.
