Bandstand Bookings
The new bandstand is now available for use.
Jointly administered between Gloucester Guildhall and Neighbourhood Services it is now available to be booked.
For simple use of the bandstand for free events that entertainment the public there is no charge for community groups, charities, schools, civic events and similar.
All we ask is that you please let us know that you wish to use it so there is no clash between different events.
Commercial companies wanting to use it will incur a small charge depending on what they wish to do.
We are also able to provide further equipment, PA, lights, seating and similar for more complex events; staff time and possibly a hire charge will need to be added in most cases. There is an electrical supply to the Bandstand but it is switched off and locked away, it can be used subject to certain criteria but a member of staff will need to be in attendance.
Commercial vendors, there are some opportunities for catering or similar vendors to rent a pitch close to the Bandstand, please contact us for further details.

BRAND NEW BANDSTAND
What does a brand new bandstand need?
A band. A brass band. A blues band.
A bluegrass band. A boy band or an old boy’s band.
Does anyone remember Jimmy Shand?
A Band of Hope, on the other hand
A banned band, some of whose members
Are still on remand. A one man band,
A massed band with all manner of instrumentation
For audience appealing syncopation.
Fifes and drums, euphoniums.
Cornet, clarinet, castanet.
Sousaphone, saxophone, xylophone.
A genuine, South African vuvuzela,
Originally owned by Nelson Mandela.
We want chamber music, choral music,
Acid house, barrelhouse,
Boogie-woogie, rockabilly,
Go-go, techno, calypso, zydeco,
Barbershop, doo-wop, bee-bop, Brit pop, hip-hop,
Northern soul and rock ‘n roll.
We want high-brow, low-brow, when do we want it? NOW.
From early in the morning until after dark,
We want music from the bandstand at Gloucester Park.
