Quedgeley allotments
Goosebay Drive, GL2 2GZ (the site includes a variety of plot sizes including raised bed plots for individuals and groups with mobility problems)

How do I rent an allotment?
Currently there is a waiting list for the majority of allotment sites, although some waiting lists are shorter than others. There are currently no vacant plots available at any site, so you will be added to the waiting list of your preferred or nearest site.

How much does it cost?
The following outlines the general costs and concession rates:
- Standard half plot - (126 square metres): £26.80 per annum (Over 65 years /Housing Benefit/Council Tax Support/ Disabled: £16.10 per annum)
- Standard full plot - (253 square metres): £53.90 per annum (Over 65 years /Housing Benefit/Council Tax Support/ Disabled: £32.30 per annum).
- Disabled concessions are based on certain criteria which will be clarified at the start of the tenancy.
- All concessions are applicable to one plot per person only.
Please note that there is a charge of £25 to set up a new tenancy. This is a one-off fee and you will be billed with your first invoice.
The allotment tenancy year runs from 1 November to 31 October.
If you're a new/existing allotment tenant and you wish to erect a structure (shed, greenhouse, poly tunnel, etc.), you need permission from the city council to do so.

Allotment strategy for Gloucester
In December 2014, the city council's cabinet adopted the Allotment strategy for Gloucester. The strategy provides a framework in which allotments can develop and thrive both now and into the future.
