It’s been 31 years since we sold our House in Henry Road. I’ve been away from my home Town a very very long time. The center is now Pedestrianised. Where the Council Park is there was a Monument which is now gone. The Council Park is just a few yards from Blackfriars. Just in front of Blackfriars was the music shop which is now gone. I am very sorry to here about the floods last year, it was completely appalling. Swan Road which was once part of Clappem used to Flood terrible. I’m glad to see the Cathedral is still in one peace and Saint Marks Church in Kingsholm as not been pulled down. I have to leave you now all the best Simon Richard Toomey Cheers.

GL1 swimming pools are fantastic! I have a 13mth old daughter and I struggle to find a pool that has a nice comfortable temp. for my daughter to splash about in. GL1 has the best child-friendly pools in the county by far!!! Simply excellent facilities!

Is it a good idea to post comments criticising the county council?  The last 2 look more like discussion topics to me.

Webmaster:
The two previous comments were posted as it is an issue that effects Gloucester. Any DISCUSSIONS WILL BE REMOVED. These may be posted on Have Your Say.

Let's keep it polite. My gripe is HIGHWAYS, when one sign will do they put 3. Gloucestershire has many fine woods but please, Highways, stop planting metal forests. De-clutter!

B***** stupid idea of the County Council's to scrap Gloucester's Park and Ride.
What does a councillor from Nailsworth & Minchinhampton know about this fine city?

I lived in Gloucester as a girl. Just wanted to see it again. Wish you had more pictures.

In reference to Jade Woods comments I would  state that I have worked in Gloucester city centre for the last three years and never come across anything she experienced. She should try Cheltenham its even worst there.

Have stopped visting Gloucester city, due to so many rude people. We have been spat at in the street, and pushed and bumped into so many times, I prefer to find a city where local people are safe, and not attacked by foreign immigrants constantly!

We take the new road now pass LLanthony Priory and the massive new buidlings due up St Annes Bridge connect. What will happen to the Priory Farmhouse, surrounded by new warehouses and residential  buildings?

Credit has to be given to the playground in Gloucester Park. The park has somewhat got a poor reputation over the years but the recent investments make the area very pleasant. The playground area is superb and very clean.
Keep up the good work.

I was looking to see what activities are available at the City Museum over the Christmas holidays but the site hasn't been updated since the end of September 2007 so I presume that nothing is taking place.
