'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone'

Based on J K Rowling's book about the young wizard 'Harry Potter' and his first year at the Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry.

The film which had huge box office success when launched in November 2001 was set in many mystical locations across the UK including the cloisters at Gloucester Cathedral.

The best scenes in the film of the cloisters are when Harry fights the troll in the girl's toilets and the scene when Harry and his Gryffindor class mates are led to their dorm for the first time.

The Pupils of Kings School in Gloucester were used for extras in the movie, you see them exiting the cloisters and entering the Cloister garden in the film. To learn more about Kings School visit their site www.thekingsschool.co.uk.
