Lottery winner donates iPad to Mayors ball - 23/03/2017

Gloucester lottery winner, Cllr Richard Cook, donated his winnings to the Mayors ball auction in tonight's city council meeting.

In a bid to raise money for the voluntary sector, local councillor Richard Cook decided to donate the iPad he won in the Gloucester lottery spot draw to the Mayors ball auction.

New bus station continues to take shape - 22/03/2017

Over the coming months work will start to take shape for Gloucester's new £7.5million bus station in the heart of the city centre.

In April the works on the major junction changes that will pave the way for the delivery of the new bus station will start.

Renovation of Guildhall and Museum of Gloucester now underway - 22/03/2017

To keep Gloucester's cultural venues thriving, two historically important buildings are being renovated by the city council.

Residents may have already spotted scaffolding around the Guildhall and Museum of Gloucester: both Grade II listed buildings are undergoing renovation works as part of the city council's commitment to preserving loca​l heritage.

Illegal waste collector caught bragging on social media - 22/03/2017

Three more fixed penalty notices have been issued by the city council in its continued crackdown on fly tipping and waste offences.

Two fines were issued to an illegal waste collector, after boasting they had taken 16 car loads of rubbish to Hempsted Household Recycling Centre in one day, and charging residents for doing so.
