Gloucester in Bloom Logo Hurrans are the main sponsor for Gloucester in Bloom 2007

Last year the Gloucester in Bloom Committee worked with the residents of a street in transforming the environment around them.
Work included providing extra window boxes, pots and hanging baskets for houses in the street turning the area into a sea of colour. They also worked on clearing rubbish from front gardens, painting gates and fences and generally improving the appearance of the street for all residents. The results showed how with the community working together they could create a colourful, clean and tidy streetscene.

This year the committee is expanding the scheme with 6 x £500 grants (from Hurrans Garden Centres) across Gloucester. These 6 streets will form the Street Regeneration competition. Do you live in a street that with the help of a grant, together with the communities involvement could carry out a 'makeover' with hanging baskets and displays? Then please send your details through to Gloucester in Bloom. Additionally the overall winning street will get a street sign detailing their achievement.
