Residents are being asked to take part in our consultation and share their views on Gloucester’s Council Plan.

The draft Council Plan sets out the priorities and promises for the city council over the next three years.

The overarching vision of the council from 2021 to 2024 is to build a greener, fairer, better Gloucester.

Three priorities will set out how this could be achieved, they are:

  • Building greener, healthier, and more inclusive communities
  • Building a sustainable city of diverse culture and opportunity
  • Building a socially responsible and empowering council

A new Council Plan is needed to succeed the previous Council Plan and Council Plan extension, which ran from 2017-2020 and 2020-2021 respectively.

The new plan sets out a vision of how the council can work with partners and residents to achieve the best outcomes for everyone in Gloucester.

The six-week consultation will run until November 4.

Councillor Richard Cook, leader of Gloucester City Council, said: “This ambitious new Council Plan will continue the push to grow regeneration and culture in the city, whilst having a clear focus on addressing inequalities and climate change. Tackling both of these issues head on will allow us to work together to build a greener, fairer, better Gloucester for residents now, and in the future. The views of our residents are important to help shape the final Council Plan and vision for the next three years.”
