Economic Growth Strategy 2018-2021

Gloucester Economic Growth Strategy, 2018-2021 (Draft)

The City Council’s Economic Growth Strategy (2018-2021) Draft has been created to demonstrate how the City Council will deliver the development of Gloucester’s local economy, through an ambitious and extensive programme of activities intended to stimulate and support growth.

Our ambition is to see Gloucester become the leading small city in the UK, with a distinct economic identity that sits alongside high levels of business growth and prosperity. This will be achieved by supporting business inward investment, stimulating local employment and skills development, and contributing to the creation of high-quality places.

We are keen to strengthen our links with the local business community, so that we can understand the challenges facing business around investment and growth. To this end, we have prepared an online survey for you to give us feedback on your opinion of the strategy. We are keen to hear about your business growth ambitions and plans, as well as the obstacles you feel stand in your way.

All comments we receive will be acknowledged and used to inform the adopted version.

If you would like to receive further information on businesses matters in the City, or if you have any further questions about the survey, please email us at eds@gloucester.gov.uk.
