Your Business Rates bill explained

Your business rates bill contains important information about what you need to pay, when you need to pay and how you can pay. To help you in understanding your bill, we have provided additional information to explain what each section means.

What if you think your bill is wrong?

If you disagree with a decision made by the council regarding your liability for payment or you disagree with the way your bill has been worked out, such as if rate relief has not been awarded then you should contact the Business Rates Team via email: BR@gloucester.gov.uk You need to tell us:

  • Your name and address
  • Your contact details
  • Your account reference number
  • The address of the business premises in question
  • What you disagree with and why you disagree with it
