Council Tax Energy Bills Rebate

The Government announced on 03 February 2022 help with energy bills, part of which is to be given via a rebate to Council Tax Bills - this includes a one off £150 Council Tax energy rebate for all households in England whose primary residence is valued in Council Tax bands A to D.

Housing Benefit Payments

In order to ensure that our residents receive Housing Benefit payments we have made the decision to replicate the payments issued in November.

If you are a landlord / housing association we would kindly ask that you refer to the payment schedule issued in November for clarity on your tenant’s payments.

Please note if your Housing Benefit has been under or overpaid we will make the necessary adjustments in due course. 

We are unable to give any further information about specific claims. The Council’s website and social media channels will be updated when we have more information to share.
