Food Waste Collections
Food waste is collected weekly, normally on the same day as your recycling collection.
Every household has been issued with two food caddies - a small food waste caddy for you to keep on your worktop or under the sink and a larger outside caddy to use for collection. Both caddies have locking handles to prevent spills and smells and protect the contents from vermin. The contents from the small caddy should be emptied into the large outside caddy - which should be placed at the kerbside for weekly collection.
To keep your caddies clean you can line them with any type of plastic bag, newspaper, kitchen paper, paper liners or compostable liners.
Please put the large outside caddy out by 7am on the day of collection. Please contact us if you require an additional or replacement container, a collection calendar or assisted collection for the elderly. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01452 396396.
