Syringes or drugs equipment in a public area

We will arrange for the removal and disposal of discarded syringes and other drug related items in public places.

What you need to know

Do not touch the items or put them in any type of household or litter bin. Syringes and needles can cause injuries and will need to be disposed of safely by our trained streetcare team.

If the syringe or drug equipment is on private land, it is the responsibility of the landowner, you will need to ask them to remove it.

Report syringes and drugs equipment

If there is an immediate and serious threat to safety phone us on 01452 396 396

What happens next

We aim to remove syringes and drugs equipment within 1 working day or within 4 hours if reported before 1pm.
