This role is for an experienced Housing Officer who can take a lead in the field of homelessness and choice based lettings within Housing Services. The officer will be competent in administering a caseload dealing with Parts VI & VII of the Housing Act and Homelessness Reduction Act. The officer would be responsible for undertaking S202 and Homeseekerplus (Choice Based Lettings) Reviews. They will also assist team leaders and managers, including the production and evaluation of performance reports; projects and provide mentoring for more junior members of the team.
You will ideally be qualified to graduate level or be able to demonstrate significant professional experience in supporting the delivery of a housing service. A relevant professional qualification is desirable. You will have or be willing to develop your coaching/supervisory skills in order to support the wider service. A package of training will be planned in order to support your development.
