Training

On your first visit to Shopmobility we ask that you please bring a form of ID with you that states both your name and address. This could be a driver’s licence or utility bill. We also require you to fill out a registration form which will hold on our records for identification purposes.

You will receive training to use the equipment you hire until both you and the Shopmobility staff are confident you’re in control and happy. We will spend as much time as you need for training and entirely at your own pace. Even if you have used a scooter before, all vehicles are different so please don’t be offended when we show you how it works. As a city council service, we have to make sure you are a safe user. If you feel particularly nervous, we will spend longer with you and you may come back for as many training sessions as you like before you take the vehicle out.
