Independent Member Vacancy: Audit and Governance Committee

‘We are recruiting for an Independent Member to join our Audit and Governance Committee. This appointment will be for a term of two years.
 
The Audit and Governance Committee currently consists of seven elected Councillors, and is responsible for monitoring the Council’s governance, risk and control arrangements, Member’s Code of Conduct and the effectiveness of the Council’s External and Internal Audit services. We are looking for someone who will bring a fresh and objective viewpoint to the work of the Audit and Governance Committee, ideally someone who has professional expertise or experience in audit, finance, risk management or governance.
