Selling Goods & Services to the Council
Quickbooks and Intuit domain issue
GCC has a very high cyber security posture due to previous experience, and as such we tend to align to both MS Defender and our other third-party email security system threat tracking.
Unfortunately, due to the prevalent use of the Quickbooks cloud service to send phishing emails by bad actors, emails from Quickbooks and intuit domains are blocked. We have had too many phishing attempts to allow unobstructed flow of emails from their domain.
The Knowbe4 blog has an article with further information.
If you use Quickbooks, we cannot guarantee that any invoice sent to us from it will be received. Payment reminders sent from it may also not be received.
We therefore ask, if you use Quickbooks, that you please send invoices to us in PDF form from your own domain email account in future to Creditor.Services@gloucester.gov.uk, and not directly from Quickbooks
Contracts to supply goods and services – Supplying the South West
For further information on council opportunities or contracts, please see www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk
As well as advertising our tender opportunities here – Gloucester City Council also uses the South Wests regional procurement portal, a "one stop shop" where suppliers can get contract & tender information on many councils in the region.
Helping councils and suppliers work together, "Supplying the South West" is a regional portal giving suppliers a window on contract opportunities and current contracts.
Without registering, you can use the portal to look for information about existing contracts and new opportunities from a growing number of councils in the South West.
If you register (free of charge), you can:
- post a profile of your company, indicating what sorts of opportunity you are interested in
- receive e-mail notifications whenever opportunities matching your profile become available
- register an expression of interest in a published opportunity and request contract documentation to be sent to you
How to register
As a supplier you can register your details via the Supplying the South West website and identify the categories of products, services or works that you wish to be considered for.
Registration is free, quick and easy. Once registered, the system will send you an email notification when relevant opportunities are advertised. You can also log in and search for available opportunities across the South West.
If you're already registered with "Supplying the South West", you may need to change your company profile to include Gloucester City Council.
Registering for specific tenders
Please note that registering your business on "Supplying the South West" portal will not guarantee that you will be registered for any specific tender opportunity.
You must still register for any individual tenders as and when they're advertised.
The portal now also publishes Gloucester City Councils contracts register.
Terms and Conditions
Gloucester City Council purchases its goods and services to its published terms and conditions of contract.
Invoicing us for goods and/or services provided
We would ask all suppliers to email their invoices to creditor.services@gloucester.gov.uk where possible, so that we may process them for payment as soon as possible.
If invoices are to be sent by post, please send to the following address:
Creditor Services
Gloucester City Council
Eastgate Management Suite
Eastgate Street
Gloucester
GL1 1PA
We prefer to receive invoices by email, and these should be sent to creditor.services@gloucester.gov.uk.
Please quote the purchase order provided when the goods or service was ordered clearly on your invoice. This will help us to process sand pay your invoice promptly.
