What is the route of the walk?
The following route has been planned for the walk. It will begin and end at Kings Square.

Is the route accessible?
The route is flat and step free with a distance of just under 1 mile.
What are the timings?*
- 6pm onwards-meet in Kings Square
- 6:30pm begin to walk
- 7:50pm pause for speeches at Shire Hall
- 7:10pm begin walking back to Kings Square
- 7:30pm arrive back at Kings Square for free food, drinks and music

Do I have to sing/chant?
This is completely optional! Some people like to join in with the chants, others prefer not to-it’s down to personal preference. We will be handing out chant sheets at the start of the walk and running through some chants and songs to warm up!
What happens at the end of the march?
At the end we’re all going to come together in Kings Square and have some food, hot drinks and listen to some music by some amazing women DJs from the Music Works who will be playing some chilled out tracks. Food will be delicious hot soup from the amazing Gloucester Soup project and hot drinks will be available. Food and drinks will be FREE.
Do I need to bring anything?
Prepare for the weather-so wrap up warm and wear waterproofs if it’s raining.
You can bring a placard or check out our placard making workshop below. It’s fine to walk without a placard.
When is the Placard making workshop?
This is taking place on Saturday 22nd November 10:30am-2:30pm at JOLT studios. JOLT is in Kings Square. It’s a drop in session so you can pop along and make a placard and have a drink and a chat.
Do I have to come for the whole walk?
No, you can come for any part of the event you feel comfortable with.
What if I need assistance?
There will be stewards and GRASAC members of staff on the walk who will be easily identifiable. Police will be in attendance. First Aiders will be in attendance.
Is there anything else I need to know about the walk?
- The walk will involve a crowd of people and is likely to be noisy with chanting and drumming.
- Stewards and police will be present the whole time
- There will be speeches which will contain topics such as domestic abuse and sexual harassment
