In some areas of the city we have orders in place known as public space protection orders (PSPO) to enforce responsible dog ownership. By law, dog owners must keep their dog under control in these public areas.
Use this service if you've seen a dog off the lead in an area where they're not allowed.
Tell us:
If an owner has allowed their dog to be in area where a public space protection order (PSPO) is in place, we will look to see if the case is appropriate for investigation by our environmental crime team.
We will only take action against a person if we have enough evidence that they committed the offence. If the PSPO has been broken, we may give a fixed penalty notice.
