Our vision is to make Gloucester a city that works for everyone.
Our Values

- Treating all people with fairness, compassion and respect
- Being forward thinking with innovation, and
- Being passionate about the City.
Our Behaviours
What the council does directly affects the residents, workers and visitors in the city. It affects how they view us, how much they trust us, and whether they feel they are at the heart of the services we provide. That means we all have to work together, embodying the council’s behaviours for the benefit people in Gloucester.
To embed this culture within the council, we include our values on every job description and they form a key part of our recruitment process. That way, we know the people we hire are the perfect fit. As well as helping us know what we expect of you as an employee, you will know what to expect of us.
Our values also form the basis for measuring staff performance, and is used at the beginning of your journey at recruitment stage, to appraisals and 1-to-1s with your manager.
