Level 2 Award in Food Safety Catering
This award is certified by the CIEH and provides a recognised national standard. It will benefit anyone working in a situation where food is prepared, cooked and served. It is relevant to all catering operations. The course comprises 1 full day of lectures, videos and group exercises. At the end of the course there is a short written test.

All businesses are required to have a food safety management system. In smaller caterers and retailers this requirement can be fulfilled but using a Safer Food Better Business Pack. Training on the Safer Food Better Business Pack is available.
The Food Standards Agency has issued guidance to prevent the spread of E coli 0157:H7. This applied to all food businesses handling raw and cooked food. 2 hour courses are being organised.
