During our routine examination of headstones at the Coney Hill Cemetery in Gloucester, we are sorry to have to say we found a number that have become unsafe - and potentially in danger of falling over.
In line with national guidelines, in the interests of the safety of all families visiting the cemetery, we took appropriate action and our staff have gently and respectfully lowered them to the ground.
Our team will now be in touch with the families involved, by letter, to explain what needs to be done next.
We, of course, apologise for any upset this might cause to bereaved relatives and friends. Our contact details are included below if you wish to get in touch with us.
