Information about Sabotage about Gloucester’s new car boot sale

The Leader of Gloucester City Council, Jeremy Hilton, said: “Make no mistake, this was an incredibly dangerous act of vandalism, and the consequences could have been disastrous. It beggars belief that someone felt they could put people wanting to enjoy themselves at a new Sunday morning family car boot sale at so much risk. It is simply shocking. I would urge you to contact the police if you have any information that might be useful, so that those responsible can be dealt with appropriately.”
An operation using specialist equipment will continue this week to clear the site of the nails and ensure the safety of visitors. Gloucester City Council is also stepping up security measures.
The operator, Capital Car Boot Sales, has said the delayed launch is due to take place next Sunday, July 27th.
