Man barred from Gloucester City Centre under court order

Christopher Price has been given the injunction banning him from entering Station Road, Gloucester, under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The court found that his behaviour had included violence and aggression and posed a significant risk.

The court ordered that Christopher Price is prohibited from:

Engaging in conduct which causes or is capable of causing alarm or harassment or distress to any person within the City of Gloucester;

Using or threatening to use violence towards any person within the City of Gloucester;

Entering or being in the area shaded in red on the map attached at anytime;

The court further ordered that a power of arrest is attached to the order, meaning Christopher Price can be detained if he breaches any of these conditions.

Morag Gordon, Engagement Officer at Gloucester City Council, said: “Christopher Price has caused a significantly amount of distress for members of the public who go about their daily lives in Station Road.   This injunction was granted due to the co-ordination between all partner agencies who look and tackling crime and anti-social behaviour within Gloucester City Centre.”

Inspector James O'Neill from the Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This injunction is another example of Gloucestershire Constabulary and our Council Partners working together to keep people safe.

"I hope this serves as a warning to others looking to engage in Anti-Social Behaviour in our city that we won’t tolerate it and will take action against you."
