We are responsible for 16 car parks, including 4 multi-storey car parks providing approximately 2,549 parking spaces across the city.
Most car parks are pay and display, except for The Forum which is pay on foot. All car parks offer a cashless parking option.
We have 118 disabled bays within our city car parks.

Most of our car parks have been awarded a Park Mark for safer parking.
Most of our council car parks remain open after the charging period, with the exception of Castlemeads which is locked at 7pm.
The Forum car park is open and charges 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You can now pay for your parking using your mobile phone by SMS, our smartphone applications, online or by telephone.
To pay for parking or to register an online account please view Gloucester City Council's cashless parking.
Please note: Cashless payment is not available at GL1 car park.
All of our pay and display machines allow you to pay for parking with debit and credit cards. Some machines also take coins.
Blue Badge holders can park free of charge for up to 3 hours in all our council car parks.
Make sure to correctly display the badge and set the parking timer clock to the exact time of arrival.
If you are parking for longer than 3 hours, you must make full payment for your stay.
You must display the badge on the dashboard or facia panel, where it can be clearly read through the front windscreen. The front of the badge should face upwards, showing the hologram. The side showing the photograph should not be visible through the windscreen.
Motorhomes can park at the Westgate coach and car park.
You will need to take up 2 car parking spaces and pay for 2 tickets as if paying for 2 cars. You must display the ticket on the dashboard, where it can be clearly read through the front windscreen. No overnight parking is permitted.

Parking charges apply in all other city council car parks and on-street pay and display bays. Motorcycles are not permitted to enter or park in the pedestrian zone.
Most of our car parks have a height limit of 2.03 metres. The car parks in this table have a different limit or no limit.

At Westgate car park, the height barrier is open Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.
You can report damage or a cleanliness problem in one of our car parks online.
We inspect our car parks regularly and repair any problems we find. Damage can still happen between inspections, so your reports help us fix things sooner.
You'll need the car park postcode or street name, so you can find it on a map. You can add a photo if you have one.
If someone has already reported the problem, you do not need to report it again. You can ask for updates on their report instead.
