On 1 May 2025, elections will take place for Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucester City Council manages the elections for the 10 County Divisions in Gloucester.

How to Vote
To vote in these elections, you must be registered by Friday 11 April 2025.
Voting at a polling station
If you wish to vote in person at your local polling station, you will need to show a form of acceptable photographic ID.
If you do not have one of these forms of photographic ID, you can apply for a free of charge Voter Authority Certificate, which will allow you to vote at a polling station. You must apply by 5pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025. You can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.

Voting by post
To vote by post, you must apply by 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025. Apply for a postal vote.
To change or cancel an existing postal vote, you must tell us by 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025.
Voting by Proxy
You can appoint someone to vote on your behalf. To do this, you must apply by 5pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025. You can apply for a proxy vote.
If your proxy wants to vote by post, they must apply by 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025, so you must ensure you have appointed them in time.
To change or cancel an existing proxy vote, you must tell us by 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025.
