SSGP Community Fund

What is the SSGP?

The Stronger Safer Gloucester Partnership (SSGP) is Gloucester's Community Safety Partnership. A Community Safety Partnership is a group including the council, police, and partner organisations working together to make your city safer.

One of our priorities is to support communities to build resilience through resident led action. If you have an idea for residents to work together to make their community safer, then you’re in the right place! This could be a new idea or one that’s already happening.

Our Four Priorities

  1. Youth Harm Prevention – how will your project help to prevent harm to young people, particularly harm from outside the home. What type of harm are you aiming to prevent and how?
  2. Ending Male Violence Against Women and Girls – how will you work with men and boys to challenge behaviours or support allyship, or work with women and girls to support them being and feeling safer?
  3. Creating Safer Spaces – how will your project work with residents to create safer public spaces? What outcomes will you achieve and in which area? We cannot fund work for outside spaces that aren’t freely accessible to the public.
  4. Supporting Communities to Build Resilience – We support resident-led action, so any ideas must be a resident or community led idea with evidence that residents want or need the proposed project in their area.
