We recommend you pay your Council Tax, business rates and sundry debt invoices by Direct Debit from your bank account. It is the effective way of keeping our costs down whilst allowing you to pay conveniently. It saves you time and effort. You control your payments and you have the option to cancel at any time. You can pay your Council Tax, business rates and housing benefit overpayments by BACS or internet banking. Please quote our sort code 20-20-23, account number 53093972 – please also quote your Council Tax / business rates reference number as shown on your bill, or your housing benefit overpayment reference number (invoice reference)
You can call 0800 953 5588 to pay for Council Tax, business rates, council invoices, garden waste, benefit overpayments and Gloucester BID by debit or credit card

Cheques should be made payable to ‘Gloucester City Council’ and should be sent to Gloucester City Revenues and Benefits, PO Box 2017, Pershore, WR10 9BJ. Please write the appropriate reference number on the back of the cheque
From 30 April we will be no longer able to accept payments at the Council Offices. Please make payment via one of the methods above
