Assisted Collections
If you are struggling to take your waste and recycling containers to the pavement because of mobility difficulties or a disability, and there is no one else in your household who can do it for you, we may be able to provide an assisted collection service.
How to apply for an assisted collection
The easiest way to apply for an assisted collection is using our online form.
We may ask for proof of eligibility, and we reserve the right to suspend or withdraw this service at any time, although we would notify you if the service was to be withdrawn.
You will need to ensure the collection crew has access to your containers from 7am on the day of collection. If they are unable to gain access, there will be no further collection until your next scheduled collection day.
If you are receiving assisted collections but no longer need the service, you must inform us as soon as possible.
Please phone us on 01452 396 396 if you cannot use the online service.
Please note that this service is not available to:
- residents that use communal bin stores;
- residents that have restricted access for example caravan parks, narrow or private roads, steps or steep driveways, length of driveway or locked gates;
- a household where the person who was eligible for the assisted collection is no longer a resident.
