Order Recycling Containers

Please note that charges now apply for all new and replacement recycling and waste containers. This includes communal bins used by flats. This was agreed at the Council meeting held on 11 February 2026 - agenda, documents and minutes can be found here.

Your property should have:

  • 1 black bin or Council-issued domestic sack for non-recyclable household waste
  • 2 green recycling boxes with lids (1 for glass; and 1 for plastic, tins and cans)
  • 1 blue sack for cardboard and paper
  • 1 large food caddy for food waste collection
  • 1 small food caddy for you to keep in your property

Recycling container prices

You can order replacement or additional recycling containers. The prices for each container are listed below.

If you need a replacement lid for your green recycling box, you can collect one from the locations below. You cannot collect any other containers from these sites.

We do not deliver lids on their own. A lid can only be delivered when ordered with other containers.

This service is only available to Gloucester City residents whose bin collections are run by Gloucester City Council. If you live in another district, please contact your local council for containers.

 

Where to collect a replacement lid

Ubico Gloucester Depot
  • Address: 81 Eastern Avenue, Gloucester, GL4 6PG
  • Collection point: Reception
  • Opening hours: Monday–Friday, 10am–1pm. Closed on bank holidays.
Quedgeley Town Council
  • Address: Unit 8, Quedgeley Olympus Park, Quedgeley, Gloucester, GL2 4NF
  • Opening hours: Monday–Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm. Closed on bank holidays.

 

Damaged / unused containers

If you have any recycling containers you no longer need or can no longer use, you can drop them off at our depot on Eastern Avenue. Drop-off is available 9am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

 

Please note:

You cannot use this service if you have communal recycling facilities. Find out what you need to do if you need more recycling bins at your flat or house of multiple occupancy.
