Requirements for a proposed lawful development certificate application

Read the following requirements if you are applying for a lawful development certificate for proposed use or development.

You can download the form from Planning Portal and pay for your application online directly with the Council, or you can complete all parts to your application online through the Planning Portal

This is a detailed map that shows the location of your application.

Your plan must follow the below guidelines below:

  • ordnance survey based map at a scale of 1:1250 or 1:2500 with a scale bar
  • up to date and cover a large enough area to locate your application site easily
  • have a north arrow
  • red outline of your application site
  • blue outline for any other land you own
