Blocked Access

Where access to a road is blocked and the crew cannot safely enter to collect waste and recycling, they will make one further attempt within 24 hours, leaving a 4 hour window between attempts.

If access is still blocked on the second attempt, the crew will not return until the next scheduled collection day.

If your household waste bin is not emptied because of blocked access, you may present an additional 4 bags of waste on your next waste collection day.

To help prevent this, residents are encouraged to speak to their neighbours and the vehicle owners to explain the situation. People may sometimes be unaware that they have blocked the road.

If the issue continues, residents may wish to contact Gloucestershire Highways to ask if parking restrictions could be put in place.
